Cuba: A Legacy of Faith, Justice, and Hope

For our family, Cuba has never simply been a place on a map. It is home. It is where generations before us answered God's call to preach the Gospel, plant churches, and love people in the middle of hardship.

Long before Justice to the Nations was established, God was already writing this story.

A Legacy That Began Generations Ago

Our work in Cuba traces back several generations.

Pastors Jorge Marco Ferrer Rodriguez and Aylin Leon Baez, parents of our founder Pastor Aaron Ferrer, served as missionaries with the Liga Evangélica de Cuba (LEC). Under the leadership of then-president Alejandro Nieto, they traveled throughout Cuba, planting churches and ministering in some of the country's most remote rural communities.

The Gospel came with a cost.

Like many Christian leaders in Cuba, our family experienced seasons of persecution because of their faith. Those experiences became part of a larger testimony of God's faithfulness. Rather than silencing the Church, persecution strengthened its resolve.

Our missionary heritage extends even further. Pastor Oscar Leon and Merygloria Leon, Aaron's maternal grandparents, faithfully served with the Assemblies of God, helping establish more than 50 churches throughout Cuba. They continue serving God today. On his father's side, Elba Baez and Jorge Ferrer Rodriguez also dedicated their lives to missionary work through the Assemblies of God.

For our family, missions is not simply something we do.

It is our inheritance.

Continuing the Calling

At the age of fifteen, Pastor Aaron Ferrer immigrated from Cuba.

Although his journey eventually led him to Guatemala and later to the United States, the burden for his homeland never disappeared.

God prepared him in unexpected ways.

Alongside years of pastoral ministry, He opened doors for Aaron to build more than a decade of experience in banking, personal finance, business development, and investment services. What once seemed like a professional career became preparation for ministry.

In April 2021, Pastor Aaron founded Justice to the Nations, believing God was calling him to respond to Cuba's cry—not only through humanitarian aid, but by helping restore hope, dignity, and economic opportunity rooted in biblical principles.

Our vision is simple:

Feed the hungry. Strengthen the Church. Equip leaders. Raise entrepreneurs. Restore families.

Meeting Immediate Needs

Today, one of our largest humanitarian efforts serves vulnerable elderly men and women in Bejucal, Cuba.

Through the leadership of Pastor Rolando Marrero, Justice to the Nations provides monthly support that allows more than 65 elderly and disabled individuals to receive nutritious meals, food supplies, medicine, vitamins, and essential medical equipment.

The ministry reaches beyond scheduled distributions.

Volunteers visit hospitals, nursing homes, and neighborhoods, delivering food to people who have no one else to care for them. Many meals are shared with complete strangers—simply because they are hungry.

Every meal is served in the name of Jesus.

Raising the Next Generation

We also partner with Tamara Pimentel, whose ministry is transforming families by investing in children.

Her vision is to equip children's ministry leaders and teachers while creating environments where children learn to worship God from an early age. Through her ministry, parents are coming to Christ, teachers are being trained, and future generations of Christian leaders are being developed.

Today, this ministry has outgrown its current space.

A home that would serve as its permanent ministry center is available for purchase.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 to make this vision a reality.

This building will become a place where children are discipled, teachers are equipped, and families encounter Christ for generations to come.

Empowering Christian Entrepreneurs

While humanitarian aid is essential, we also believe lasting transformation requires economic opportunity.

Justice to the Nations partners with Mildred Cabrejas, whose vision is to encourage entrepreneurs called by God to become agents of change throughout Cuba.

Together, we are developing initiatives that provide:

• Entrepreneurship training

• Financial education

• Business mentorship

• Startup grants for innovative ideas

• Research and development support

• Equipment for sustainable community projects

Cuba is filled with brilliant minds.

Too often, the missing ingredient is not talent—it is opportunity.

We believe God has already placed solutions inside His people. Our role is to help unlock them.

Strengthening the Church

Justice to the Nations also supports pastors, missionaries, churches, and ministry leaders who continue faithfully serving despite extraordinary challenges.

From children's ministries to Bible teacher development, from local pastors to missionary families, we believe that a strong Church is essential to a flourishing nation.

Although ongoing energy shortages and the humanitarian crisis currently limit many of our missionary trips, our trusted partners continue serving on the ground every day.

Together, we remain committed to advancing God's Kingdom throughout Cuba.

Our prayer is not simply to relieve poverty.

Our vision is to help transform communities by combining compassion with discipleship, generosity with opportunity, and humanitarian aid with sustainable development.
